Call for Proposals: Music History Articles
A-R Editions invites authors to submit proposals for peer-reviewed articles on music history for publication in its Online Music Anthology (www.armusicanthology.com) We are currently building our foundational articles on music history and theory, with plans for various other topics to follow. The articles are part of a larger set of materials that will allow instructors to create customized course packs for their students.

We currently seek articles in several foundational areas:
  • Genres and Forms (James P. Cassaro, University of Pittsburgh, contributing editor) in the following historic periods: Antiquity; the Middle Ages; the Renaissance; the Baroque Era; the Classical Era; the Romantic Era; the Twentieth Century; and the Twenty-First Century (approximately 6 articles);
  • Music Theory (Neil Newton, University of California, Santa Barbara, contributing editor) in the following historic periods: Antiquity; the Middle Ages; the Renaissance; the Baroque Era; the Classical Era; the Romantic Era; the Twentieth Century; and the Twenty-First Century (approximately 6 articles);
  • Significant Composers (Jonathan Rhodes Lee, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, contributing editor) in the eras listed above (approximately 25 articles);
  • and
  • Major Works (Eric Lubarsky, Carnegie Hall, contributing editor) from the same eras (approximately 25 articles).
